Government >>> Departments & Divisions >>> Police Department >>> Emergency Preparedness
The Lowell Police Department works closely with the Lowell Area Fire Department, state and county government, local businesses, community and non-profit organizations, and schools proactively to be prepared for emergencies.  Those preparations cover a wide range of possible events including such things as a dam failure, industrial accident, severe weather events and road closures.

Emergency response plans are reviewed continuously throughout the year.  The police department participates in a number of response practice drills throughout the year.
